We made it through January, hurrah! The romantic month of February was cold, damp and a little miserable but March is finally here and I’m super excited for Spring. Anyway, here’s a few things that set my heart racing this month.

Book The Breakdown by B.A Paris RRP £3.99 from Amazon

I read B.A Paris’ debut novel ‘Behind Closed Doors’ last year and it quickly became one of my all time favourites. Gripping, claustrophobic and thrilling I read the whole thing in the space of two days, barely able to put it down; my hatred for one of the characters compelling me to reach the end. (And oh, what a satisfying end it was!) Anyway, I have been highly anticipating Paris’ second novel ‘The Breakdown’ ever since it was announced. I purchased it on the day of its’ release and again, read the whole thing in a matter of days. With ‘Behind Closed Doors’ being such an amazing book, ‘The Breakdown’ could have so easily failed to live up to expectations but I’m happy to report that was not the case. The Breakdown follows the story of Cassie, a woman who travels down a wooded lane late at night during a storm and sees a car pulled in to a layby. Not stopping to help for fear of a trap, the next day she discovers the woman has been murdered. What follows is Cassies descent in to dementia, paranoia and a prolonged attack against her via a mysterious stranger who calls her house phone everyday. With her memory fading we begin to question just how stable Cassie really is…but not everything is as it seems. Full of twists and turns, The Breakdown is a book that’s hard to put down. I can’t recommend it enough so if you haven’t already – go read it now! No seriously, now!

Bomb Cosmetics Rhubarb and Custard Bath Blaster RRP £2.99 from Bomb Cosmetics

I’m a big fan of bubble baths, preferring to spend about fifty percent of my life surbmerged in soapy suds. If you follow my blog regularly you’ll know that I absolutely love Lush and it’s always my go to treat. This month however, I thought I’d branch out a little and try something new. A huge fan of Rhubarb and custard scents (and sweets, obviously) my partner purchased me the Rhubarb and Custard bath Blaster to try. It smells absolutely amazing and the design is adorable. I will definitely be repurchasing.

Adventure Time Pyjamas RRP various from Primark

Comfort really is key and I’m all about that snug life. My collection of pyjamas is impressive because I live them in (really.) The minute I step inside my home it’s off with the presentable clothes and on with those fleecey trousers! Primark is always my go to shop for all things nightwear as it’s great value for money and the designs are always very cute and comfy. I was so happy to spot the Adventure Time jammies featuring BMO! I got the top, trousers and the matching robe which is super-soft and perfect for wrapping up in on cold evenings. Thank you Primark for making my dreams come true!

Penny Mix Necklace RRP £12.50 from Jelly Button Jewellery

When it comes to accessorising I love fun, quirky and off-beat pieces. My go to place to shop is Etsy as I love the unique handmade necklaces, brooches and enamel pins. However, I recently discovered a shop (through Instagram) that ticks all those boxes and more. Jelly Button Jewellery is an independent online shop that sells the most amazing jewellery including lump necklaces, last rolo bracelets and more. I found it so hard to pick which piece to buy as I wanted it all but settled on the Penny Mix necklace which gives me serious throwback to my childhood. This is such a fun and bright piece and I think it will be perfect for Spring. It was packaged so well too, and she even threw in a couple of postcards and a packet of sweets (sadly those are no longer with us!)
