Honey really is a wonder product; it tastes delicious, it smells great and it has lots of health benefits. Brilliant at nourishing skin and hair, honey also contains antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. It’s no wonder then that our market is so saturated with health and beauty buys packed full of honey. Here I share my ultimate favourite honey skin and haircare products.

Scrubee Body Butter/Scrub £6.95 from Lush.

Scrubee has fast become my go-to product for beautifully soft skin. Starting its’ life out as a seasonal product at Lush, this bee shaped scrub was so popular it became mainline by demand. Step in to the shower with this little guy and you’ll understand why.

Containing hydrating, fair trade shea butter, fair trade organic cocoa butter, honey,  ground coconut shell, ground almonds, bergamot and Brazilian orange oil this body butter/scrub will leave skin feeling heavenly. The cocoa butter gets to work moisturising whilst the ground almonds and coconut shell does a wonderful job of exfoliating dry and tired skin. And not only is the design, super-cute but Scrubee smells amazing! A warm, honey/chocolate/pudding type of smell that is absolute delicious and lingers on your skin for hours after you have dried off.

Soft Coeur Massage Bar £4.95 from Lush

During the summer months, Soft Coeur has been a real life-saver for my skin. Containing Fair Trade organic butter, Fair Trade shea butter, almond oil, bergamot oil and of course honey, this massage bar is designed to moisturise your skin, leaving it smelling of a beautiful honey/toffee concoction.

Soft Coeur is super-moisturising so it’s now my body moisturiser of choice. It’s also a cute little heart shape which I love.

It’s Raining Men Shower Gel £4.95 / 100g from Lush

It’s Raining Men Shower Gel shares the same popular ‘Honey I washed The Kids’ scent as the two products I mentioned above. However, if possible, this shower gel is even sweeter. It contains honey, bergamot oil, Brazilian orange oil, rosehip, lotus flowers and tiger lily infusions.

This is a fantastic shower gel that smells edible, lathers up really well and leaves your skin feeling soft and squeaky clean. It is best used in combination of Scrubee or Soft Coeur to help retain that yummy smell all through the day.

7th Heaven Manuka Honey Peel Off Face Mask £1 from Boots

I have mentioned them time and time again but I can’t get enough of the 7th Heaven face masks. The Manuka Honey one is my all time favourite because it smells wonderful, it peels (and who doesn’t love a good peel off mask?!) and it does wonders for the skin.

The Manuka Honey mask is aimed at problem skin, removing dead cells and rejuvenating the overall appearance. I always use these during breakouts and they really help calm my skin down. Manuka Honey has anti-bacterial properties so it’s probably this that can be attributed for helping banish blackheads and pimples. It contains caramel, honey, aloe vera and a bunch of other good stuff.

Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo (The Strength Restorer) and Conditioner two for £5 from Boots

The Garnier Ultimate Blends shampoo and conditioner are my go-to products. I have very weak, fine hair that’s prone to breakage so my aim really is to get the strength back.

These products work very well when used together and do leave hair feeling noticeably softer. They contain honey/royal jelly and smell really nice which is a bonus!

Honey I Washed My Hair Solid Shampoo Bar £6.25 from Lush

I have only recently gotten in to the solid shampoo bars at Lush and already I’m really loving them. Initially I purchased the solid shampoo for holiday as it was much more compact and easier to pack. Plus it smells fantastic.

However, when I tried it I soon released it’s value lies in more than just how convenient it is. Honey I Washed My Hair solid shampoo bar leaves your hair feeling crazy soft and scented. I would wash my hair in the morning and the scent would stay the entire day; a beautiful honey/caramel/toffee scent. This little bar contains honeycomb, Fairly Traded honey, bergamot oil, and sweet wild orange oil. It leaves your hair feeling so clean too; great if your hair is prone to getting greasy quickly.

Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment Mask £1.29 from Superdrug

My all time favourite hair treatment mask is the honey one produced by Montagne Jeunesse. I won’t lie, that one is the best on the market in my opinion. However it’s increasingly becoming harder and harder to find, and after looking for months to no avail I figured it was time to branch out.

So in steps the Manuka Honey Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment Mask from Superdrug. Initially I picked this up because it shares similar ingredients to the 7th Heaven variety; caramel, abyssinica oil, honey etc etc. So I figured it would be pretty similar. I do have to say, this product does not smell anywhere near as nice as the 7th Heaven product. However, the smell isn’t unpleasant and the honey clearly does its job as this mask leaves your hair feeling really soft and nourished after just five minutes. Overall this product is really good and it’s also widely available in Superdrug so that’s a bonus- great hair doesn’t need to wait!
