After a little dry spell of around four weeks, the Lush Kitchen suddenly became very exciting again. What with it being Summer and Wimbledon being on, the Kitchen decided to release lots of fruity/strawberry goodies. As you may or may not know, I’m allll about those sweet scents so these past couple of weeks have been amazing for me!

Here’s what I picked up.

Strawberry Twin Tub Shower Jelly 240g

As I mentioned previously, my shower jelly collection is seriously lacking. This is in part because it was only up until very recently that I discovered how fun they are. Anyway, I have wanted to build up my stash of shower jellies for a little while now so when the Kitchen announced Strawberry Twin Tub I was very excited. Containing geranium oil, fresh strawberries, Fair Trade vanilla pod infusion and coconut, Strawberry Twin Tub has a very fresh, fruity smell. I can detect strawberries quite strongly but, whilst others say they notice the coconut also, I do not. I haven’t used this in the shower yet so maybe that will change but the initial first sniff in the tub was really lovely!

American Pie Shower Jelly 240g

Yes, another shower jelly! And this one is also strawberry scented. I put my feelers out when I was deciding on whether or not it was worth the splurge, and a lot of people said the scent is completely different to that of Strawberry Twin Tub. I have to say however, I disagree. American Pie is certainly more a creamy type of scent than that of Strawberry Twin Tub but personally I find them to be very similar. If you have one, you probably don’t need the other, although they are both lovely. It contains fresh strawberry infusion, Fair Trade vanilla absolute, lavender oil and benzoin resinoid.

Mr Punch Soap 100g

Prior to it coming out in the kitchen, I had heard much talk of Mr Punch Soap. The Sparkly Pumpkin scent is my most favourite of all time so, when I saw that Mr Punch shared the scent I knew I just had to have it. I managed to snap up two bars of the stuff. What I will say is that Mr Punch is not exactly the same as Sparkly Pumpkin because it doesn’t contain the same spices. This gives it less of a “festive” feel and more of a “summer” finish. But that said, the scent is extremely close and it’s wonderful; especially when you consider that there’s nothing else in Lush with this scent and Sparkly Pumpkin only comes out at Halloween!  This soap contains coconut oil, juniper berries, perfume, blackcurrant absolute and lime oil. It’s really hard to describe what this smells like, without the comparison to the Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar but, it’s quite fruity and sweet like which I think is in part down to the lime. The design is also incredible!

Fruity Beauty Shower Gel 250g

Fruity Beauty Shower Gel is described as being reminiscent of French Martinis that might be indulged in whilst lounging in the Caribbean. It was this description that had me intrigued, plus the unusual list of ingredients. Containing fresh lemon, fresh pineapple juice, vodka, lime oil and bergamot oil this is one unique shower gel. Upon my first sniff I could definitely detect the vodka – the gel itself just smells like a really yummy cocktail. This has me in two minds.  On one hand it’s really yummy, on the other, will I smell like I’ve been boozing if I use it?! I haven’t tried it in the shower yet, so I really don’t know if it softens or the vodka becomes undetectable but I’m really looking forward to giving it a go! It’s definitely one of the more exciting shower gels on the market.

So that’s everything I’ve been buying from the kitchen! I’m secretly hoping that there will be nothing I want up until Halloween now as I’m desperately trying to destash so I can stock up on that range guilt free! What have you been buying or loving recently?
