If you ask me, Autumn is the best time of year for fashion. I love all the shiny brown Chelsea boots, cute plaid patterns in shades of rust, the chunky knits and cosy sweatshirts. It’s definitely a lot easier for me to pick colours, patterns and designs I really love during the colder months. As soon as it gets warm again I start to despair!
I have been doing a lot of Autumnal outfit shopping lately, refreshing my wardrobe and adding some key pieces that I hope I will still love in years to come. Hopefully – time and confidence allowing – I will be able to put a post up featuring some of my favourite Autumnal outfits soon. In the meantime I thought I would put together a little wish list of things I would love to home in my wardrobe!

Miss Patina I’m Only Prancing Long Sleeve Dress £68.31 from Modcloth
Modcloth is my favourite online shop for all things cute and quirky and I have a couple of really nice dresses from them. Sadly, Modcloth being an American company means shipping can be quite costly and you will likely incur handling/customs fees. That said, I honestly feel as if no company matches up to Modcloth in terms of design. I adore this cute dress by Miss Patina – in particular that sleeping cat collar! All of the little details make this dress incredibly unique and charming. I also love a good-polka dot print and think this would be perfect for the Autumn months paired with colour-pop tights and ankle boots.
Fireside Cable Knit Cardigan in Honey £37.95 from Modcloth
I’m a sucker for a good cable knit – particularly if it’s in my favourite shade of yellow! This cardigan is completely dreamy and it looks pretty cosy too. I would layer this over a printed dress.
Priya Pine Checked Swing Skirt £20 from Lindy Bop
Lindy Bop has become somewhat of a new obsession ever since I bought the most perfect Autumnal swing skirt from them. I am loving the colours of this one and think it looks great paired with a sweatshirt.
Sugarhill Boutique Rita Signature Sweater in Navy Fox £49.50 from Sugarhill Boutique
Sugarhill Boutique is another favourite of mine and I have a couple of sweaters from them that I love. Cosy and cute, the Sugarhill sweaters are a staple (and so I must dig mine out this weekend!) I love this seasons adorable fox design! Foxes are one of my favourite animals and I would definitely get a lot of wear out of this one. I don’t tend to wear jeans though, so I would layer it over a dress (as I usually do with sweaters or jumpers) or maybe even team it with my swing skirt!
Check Scarf in Mink £10 from New Look
Every time I pass New Look I have to pop in to check this scarf is still in stock. It’s really simple, classic and stylish – and I adore it! I have a drawer full of scarves (so probably far too many!) But I can’t help it – a scarf is such a great accessory that can pull an outfit together whilst keeping you snug. I really want to pick this one up as I feel it would look wonderful with my new coat.
Joules Harbour Pheasant Stripe Top £29.95 from John Lewis
I am a big fan of Joules and think this top is just perfect. Pheasants and stripes?! It’s like someone had me in mind when they created this beauty. It’s a bit cheaty of me to put this on my list seeing as I’ve already tried it on and know I’m getting it for my birthday but, I have been coveting it for ages so it certainly deserves a spot on any wishlist I make!
Cassie Carousel Horse Acrylic Brooch £24.42 from Curious Carousel
I am a big fan of Etsy, independently produced jewellery and supporting small business. So that said of course I had to include some accessories from my favourite indie shops. I think the Cassie Carousel Horse is beyond beautiful and I have wanted it for such a long time now. It’s so detailed and gives me all of the funfair vibes which I love.
Hand Painted Wooden Acorn Brooch £10.98 from Pepper Sprouts
And last but not least is the super-cute wooden acorn brooch from Pepper Sprouts. I think the simple design is really lovely and think this would look amazing pinned to a burgundy cardigan.
So that’s my wishlist for the Autumn months. Have you spotted anything in this list that you love?
There are so many things on your list that I like,! I particularly like the fox jumper, the scarf and of course the cat collar dress. Autumn is a brill time to dress up cosy.
So many great items on this list. I especially love the cable knit cardigan.
