October has been one of the busiest months of my life. Between moving house, working full-time and taking part in Blogtober, I’ve barely had the time to process it all. That said, it has been an exciting month – full of new and happy memories. As it is slowly coming to a close (I can hardly believe how quickly the month has passed!) I thought I would share my favourite things with you.
Squirrel Collar from Fairytale Collars
You may have caught this collar in my Autumn Look Book/Clothing Haul. Handmade by the super talented woman behind Fairytale Collars, this particular piece is one of my favourite October/accessory purchases. The design is perfect; everything from the shades of the ribbon/collar used right down to the embroidered red squirrel and the pom pom trim.
I’m Home Lush/Gorilla Perfume
The scent of I’m Home is so perfect that to me it completely encapsulates Autumn. I have been wearing this a lot because it’s a really beautiful scent for this time of year. You can read my Lush: I’m Home Perfume Review here.
Lucky Dip Club Subscription/Fri-YAY! surprise
This month I am absolutely loving my LDC subscription – everything inside the box was spot on. You can read more on it here! I also took the plunge and purchased my first ever Fri-YAY! surprise which was Halloween themed – the perfect surprise to start with. You can read more about that one here!
Sonny Angel Birthday/Anniversary Series
For the past few years, Dreams has released an anniversary series to celebrate the birth of Sonny Angel. Past series saw the popular little kewpie in his different incarnations sitting in chairs and wearing a T-Shirt with a letter on (to spell out Sonny Angel when lined up in a row.) I have never been a massive fan of those anniversary releases, always thinking they were a little boring. However, this year was different; they made little Sonny Angel birthday cakes! When I saw these I knew I had to have them – they are just so cute, probably one of my all time favourite releases from Dreams. And in their pastel shades they make the perfect backdrop / prop for photographs. I just love them!
7th Heaven Charcoal Peel Off Face Mask
Lately I’ve seen a lot of noise online about the charcoal peel off masks. Most of it has been good but of course very occasionally I have heard the horror stories complete with anecdotal evidence about how someones skin peeled right off with the mask. So although I’ve wanted to give one a go, I have also been feeling a little sceptical. 7th Heaven just recently bought out their own version of the mask and as they are a brand I love and trust I figured I would finally give it a go! The mask itself works really well, as you can expect from all 7th Heaven products, so I will definitely be stocking up on these, especially when I’m having a bad skin day.
Vintage Dolls Eye Ring from @Lollipops_vintage on Instagram
This month spooky jewellery seems to be the theme and I am in love with my vintage dolls eye ring purchased on Instagram. The little eyelid opens and closes as you move your hand – it’s a real unique piece!
Honey I Washed The Kids Shower Jelly
If you read my Farewell, Lush Kitchen And A Final Order post, you’ll know that my last ever Kitchen order was a HIWTK shower jelly. I am in love with this product. It smells incredible and it works a treat. I’m not sure how soon I’ll be able to grab another as it’s an exclusive, but I’m really hoping it appears in the new Kitchen soon.
Then She Was Gone Book By Lisa Jewell
This month I have tried my best to squeeze in reading on the commute or in the little spare time I have in the evenings. As such I haven’t got through many books this month but one that did get through and throughly enjoyed was Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell. I wrote a review about it here! So please feel free to take a look if thriller fiction is your thing.
And last but not least I have enjoyed pumpkin picking. Well, pumpkin everything really! (Who doesn’t love a nice Pumpkin Pie face mask or Pumpkin Spiced Latte?!) October is one of my most favourite months, so I have been doing my best to enjoy and celebrate every moment I can. Pumpkin picking was a personal highlight for me this month and I wrote a post about it here.
