There’s nothing nicer than coming home from a long day at work to discover a colourful Lucky Dip Club subscription box laying on my doormat – the fun enamel pin and funky matching socks never fail to brighten my day.

As the spooky-season is now upon us I have been eagerly awaiting and anticipating this months box, quietly hoping to myself that it would pay homage to Halloween.

Spoiler alert: it did not disappoint!

box1

The box arrived on a Monday – the perfect antidote to my post weekend blues. Covered in a mystical palmistry print I knew immediately I was going to thoroughly enjoy the contents.

This months indie contributors were Jenna Greenwood (of colourful @pilfered fame) and Cat Madeira, Graphic Designer at Corazon Pompom (@corazonpompom)

Here’s what was inside the box…

The Lucky Dip Clubhouse magazine

This months magazine features a gorgeous ‘Happiness awaits you’ crystal ball design on the front cover which hints at the mystical contents inside. Packed full of interviews with contributors and clubhouse members it is as deeply engrossing as ever. The theme to the mag is Halloween (of course!) and so it contains some really great articles on Halloween-themed shops and supernatural experiences as well as a Trick or Treat shopping section (as if I needed more encouragement to splash out!)

Palmistry Enamel Pin by Cat Madeira

My favourite pin of the year, hands down (sorry not sorry!) is this months Palmistry design by Cat Madeira. I have this thing about hands – anything hand shaped I just love (I know, weird) so I was really excited to see the design included in the box! It’s a good size and the attention to detail is incredible – it will definitely lend my outfits some much needed spooky-vibes this season.

box3

Palmistry/Fortune Teller Socks by Jenna Greenwood

Also in the fortune-telling theme were this months socks. With an all-over crystal ball, palmistry hand, planchette and skull print these socks are seriously mystical and amazing! Again, another favourite for the year and so perfect for the season ahead.

So that’s everything in the Lucky Dip Club box this month – and what a wonderful box it was! I know I’ll be getting a lot of wear out of both the pin and the socks and the great thing about them is that although they’re a nod to Halloween they’re not so themed that they can’t be worn at any other time – you’ll be seeing me rocking my palmistry pin well in to the Summer months next year!
