One of my favourite things about Blogtober (besides celebrating the wonderful season that is Autumn) is reading all the fantastic blog posts floating about. There’s nothing nicer than scrolling through my reader and seeing all this new, fantastic content! I stumbled across Hollie’s Autumn tag the other day and throughly enjoyed reading it. Today I thought I’d give it a go myself!

1.) What signifies the start of Autumn for you?

As soon as September rolls around I’m in full Autumn mode. I know it’s a little early for some, espicially when the sun is still shining hotly, but I’m so impatient I just want to make the very most of the season! I have fond memories of going back to (primary) school in September and cramming my pockets full of conkers from the tree just outside our playground, so I think that’s why the 1st of September feels like the very start of the season for me.

2.) What is your favourite Autumn scent?

I have many favourite Autumn scents but if I had to choose just one it would be the “I’m Home” perfume from Lush (which I wrote a blog post about here!) it’s a really warm, yummy scent that reminds me of baking and home comforts. I’m also a big fan of cinnamon scented things!

3.) What is your favourite Autumn colour?

My favourite colour is mustard yellow, and I think this is a really lovely, warm Autumnal colour. I also love burgundy, rust orange and forest green – all colours I will be wearing throughout the season.
4.) What is your favourite Autumn drink?

Pumpkin Spiced Lattes from Starbucks are my go-to drink from September through to November. I just love them so much. I recently tried Prets take on the iconic drink but was sadly quite disappointed by it. Starbucks just does the PSL so well!

5.) What TV show, new or old, are you looking forward to this Autumn?

I always look forward to the return of Bake Off when the weather cools. There’s something so comforting about sitting at home on a dark, rainy evening to watch people bake cakes.
6.) What is your favourite Autumn fashion trend?

I’m not sure if I would call it a trend, but I love chunky knitted jumpers worn over dresses (probably because I don’t wear jeans at all, so everything has to be worn over a dress!) and themed brooches. I buy a lot of indie-made jewellery and around this time of year there are some truly fabulous pieces. I recently picked up a toffee apple brooch and can’t wait to wear it!
7. What is your favourite frugal Autumn activity?

During the Autumn months I love going for walks in the woods and countryside. It’s a free thing to do and I enjoy collecting up all the conkers, kicking through piles of leaves, spotting fly agaric mushrooms and breathing in deep lungfuls of crisp air.

8. What is your favourite makeup look come autumnal weather?

I really enjoy burgundy or orange eyeshadows – and somehow they seem to work just that bit better during Autumn!

If you have enjoyed this post please feel to have a go yourself and of course, tag me in it so I can read your responses!

The questions are:

1.) What signifies the start of Autumn for you?
2.) What is your favourite Fall scent?
3.) What is your favourite Autumn colour?
4.) What is your favourite Fall drink?
5.) What TV show, new or old, are you looking forward to this Fall?
6.) What is your favourite Fall fashion trend?
7.) What is your favourite frugal Autumn activity?
8.) What is your favourite makeup look come autumnal weather?

  1. Loved reading you answers! I’ll have to try that perfume from Lush, autumn walks are the best too! I love kicking up the leaves and seeing how pretty everything is. 😊🍂🍁

    • It’s absolutely beautiful. The best part also is that it’s in store! So you can pop in and smell it anytime. You have to leave it to warm on your skin and really develop though!

  2. I really enjoyed reading your answers! Autumn walks I one of my favourite things this time of year. Stepping in a crunchy pile of leaves and taking lots of photos. 🍂🍁📸 I think I’m the only blogger that hasn’t tried a PSL but that’s mostly because I don’t like coffee.
