Next month I turn the big 3-0. I can’t quite believe that I am leaving my twenties behind, I still feel a bit like an overgrown child if I’m being honest.

For today’s Blogtober I thought it would be fun to share a ‘birthday wish list’. At this point in my life I honestly don’t ask (or want) people to buy me specific gifts so everything you see here will more than likely be purchased by myself over the course of the next few weeks!

Tatty Devine Fox Brooch, £45

As someone who loves A. Tatty Devine B. acrylic jewellery in general and C. foxes, it’s no surprise that the Honey brooch ticks all of my major boxes. I think this little Autumnal cutie would look great pinned to a cosy jumper.

Tatty Devine Hot Water Bottle Brooch, £30

Yes, yet another Tatty brooch but this one I have been lusting after for a long while (and I’m kinda surprised I haven’t added it to my collection already?) The hot water bottle brooch is really cute and is perfect for the upcoming cold spell (which happens to be just around the corner from my birthday!)

Hot Water Bottle Brooch - Dusty Pink

Monki Chunky Knit Sweater, £35

I absolutely love Monki and I own this exact jumper in another colourway (purchased last year). This year I’m loving the new colourways – particularly this green, pink and mustard combo. It’s such a cosy and warm jumper and perfect for cold Winter days.

Monki Chunky Knit Sweater, £35

Another chunky knit jumper from Monki that I love is this mustard yellow number with stitch detailing through the front. I think it would be a great everyday piece to have in my wardrobe and I adore the colour (mustard yellow being my favourite!)

Death Cab for Cutie Transatlanticism and Plans Vinyls, various prices

Two vinyls I really want to add to my collection are Transatlanticism and Plans – both by DCFC. Transatlanticism has recently been re-issued as part of its 10 year anniversary so it would be pretty cool to grab a copy before it sells out again. I’ve been listening to both albums on repeat a lot recently.

Top Shop Soft Faux Fur Coat, £75

When I spotted this coat in Top Shop the other day I instantly fell in love with it. It’s a gorgeous chocolatey brown and reminds me of something you might find in a vintage shop. It’s also super-soft and feels like you’re cladding yourself in some kind of marshmallow cloud puppy hybrid. I probably don’t need another Winter jacket but I do really want another Winter jacket and this one is the best I’ve seen this year, hands down. Top Shop coats are always really good quality and last a long time too.

Dr Martens 1460 Suede, £139

Eye-wateringly expensive but super-beautiful, I’ve had my eye on these suede DMs for a little while now (and have a screenshot of them saved on my phone so I won’t forget them). Realistically they aren’t the most practical of boot but I think they would look amazing with just about anything so surely for that fact alone they’re worth the investment?

Jellycat Larry Lobster, £22

And finally I couldn’t write a whole post without including something childish could I ? I’m not quite sure but I really love this little lobster guy and I really want it – but then I find it hard to justify the spend (even though I get 25% off!) He is really cute though.

So that’s everything on my list – for now. I’m sure I could come up with even more things if I really thought about it in depth but, probably best if I don’t !

  1. I hope you have a great birthday next month, I’m turning 27 and also feel like an overgrown child haha I don’t think that feeling goes away 😂 The hot water brooch is really cute and I love the Monki striped jumper! It looks so cosy 😊
