Unboxing (November’s) Fun And Festive Lucky Dip Club Subscription Box

December is finally upon us and now is the time to celebrate (and blog about) all things festive. Never mind that we put our tree up in November or that I have been merrily drinking Snowballs for the past week. December makes it all official and I can finally shake my baubles and shimmy my tinsel without fear of recrimination from the ‘it’s not December yet, what on Earth do you think you’re doing?!’ crew (Grinches.)

October 2017 – Monthly Favourites

October has been one of the busiest months of my life. Between moving house, working full-time and taking part in Blogtober, I’ve barely had the time to process it all. That said, it has been an exciting month – full of new and happy memories. As it is slowly coming to a close (I can hardly believe how quickly the month has passed!) Lucky Dip Club – Fri-YAY! Surprise

If you have read any of my Lucky Dip Club unboxing posts, you’ll know that I love my combo subscription box and receiving a fun pair of socks and pin each and every month.

Well, the LDC has fairly recently become even more exciting with the introduction of the Fri-YAY! surprise. In case you aren’t yet familiar with it, the Fri-YAY! surprise is a surprise that is released every Friday at 8am in limited quantities. This surprise is often a piece of jewellery (think necklace or brooch) that has been collaborated on with an indie designer/maker and is priced at a very reasonable £10.

Autumn Look Book/Clothing Haul

Autumn is my most favourite season; to say I am enamoured with it would be an understatement. I just love all the pretty scenery around at this time of year. The gorgeous golden, yellow and rust leaves, the crisp, cool air and sunshine and of course, all of the fashions.

During the Autumn months I will happily stock up on chunky knitted jumpers, cute printed dresses, scarves and accessories in my favourite colours of mustard, burgundy and forest green. For weeks now I have been buying little bits and pieces here and there to completely refresh my Autumn wardrobe. Today I thought I would share with you just a few key pieces that I really love and know I will be getting a lot of wear out of this year.

In The Reading Pile This Month

October has been a busy month, what with the house move, work and taking part in Blogtober it feels like every spare minute has been accounted for.  I haven’t had time to take a bath let alone pursue hobbies.

One thing I have really tried to stay on top of though is my reading. I love a good crime or thriller fic and have been reading on my train journeys, before bed and in the few and far moments of quiet in between. I thought for Blogtober Day 20 I would share the (few) books I’ve had a chance to read/glimpse at. Who knows, your next read might be on my list?

September Favourites

September has not been a wonderful month, if I’m being honest it’s actually been quite terrible. But as I mentioned in my What Is Blogtober, And Why Am I Taking Part? post, I have been trying my best to make the most of and appreciate the little things. Things like collecting conkers in the park, going for long walks and spending time with my family have helped me through some of the dark days.

I haven’t done a ‘Favourites’ post in months now, and I figured now would be the best time to write one up as it will help me reflect back on the things I have enjoyed. (Which can only be a positive thing, right?)

Lush Halloween Haul

I love Halloween. Carefully constructing the perfect outfit, decorating the house, carving pumpkins and, of course, the Lush Halloween range all make this season super-exciting for me. So when I found out that the Lush website and the Oxford Street store were getting their Halloween stock a little earlier than usual, I felt so happy at the prospect of kicking off the season with a splash.

General release for this range is October 6th but that said, I work just two tube stops away from Oxford Circus so of course I was going to pop in for some early treats! Not only did the Oxford Street store have the full Halloween range, but it was blessed with the Christmas range too. An exciting time for me but not so much my purse! I did grab stuff from both ranges (of course) but I shall save the Christmas haul for when I’m feeling a little more festive!

Four Face Masks For Autumn

Hot one minute and cold the next, it can be difficult to reign in the ever-changing skin troubles. During these months I like to up my skincare routine by throwing in some additional face masks. Art Swaps; The Enamel Pin Edit

When I started my Etsy shop Pretty Little Finch, I knew I wanted to create my own enamel pin. My personal collection is rather impressive; I just love the way a few well chosen pins can add a playful twist to any outfit. When I listed the Pastel Blue Tit in my shop I was excited to sell it, but didn’t think for one moment about the potential of swapping with other artists.
