Throughout Blogtober I have been sharing snippets of my collections; from my Favourite Pieces In My Brooch Collection to What’s In My Record Collection?
I really do get a lot of enjoyment out of collecting stuff and things. Maybe I have a slight penchant for hoarding but in all honesty I love the hunt and thrill of finding a new piece. In recent years I really started to get in to collecting vintage and though this isn’t one of my more extensive collections, it’s one of the more interesting. For today’s Blogtober I thought I’d share with you a few bits and bobs that I really love.
Outside the streets are still damp from rain that came and went. (more…)
Back in the Summer Lush released some brand-new party exclusive products; these were available for a limited time online for a tester period before being made store exclusive and only available if you booked a party.
Seeing how cute the designs were I was keen to try the products ASAP and put in a little online order with the intention of blogging about them. However, me being me I let time pass me by and completely forgot. For today’s Blogtober I thought I’d finally share a little haul and review with you – if you would like to try these products for yourself you can buy them exclusively when you book a party with Lush!
There’s nothing I love more than getting outside with my camera in Autumn; I am endlessly inspired by the beautiful colours and all of the wonderful flora and fauna these months bring.
For today’s Blogtober post I thought I would share with you some of my favourite photographs I have taken during Autumns past and present. Some of these images you may recognise from previous posts, others I have not shared on my blog. I like all of these images because for me they encapsulate what Autumn is about and bring about happy memories/feelings within me. I do not consider myself to be a photographer though, so please no judgement on the technical aspects or compositions of the following shots!
Autumn is a great time to catch up on film; when the nights are drawing in and the rain is splattering against your windows there’s none of that FOMO that Summer brings about. Suddenly everyone is living their best Hygge-inspired lives firmly shut indoors with their pumpkin-spiced candles and knitted blankets. Binge-watching films on a Sunday becomes a ‘movie marathon day’ and not a sign of depression – just one of the many reasons the cold and cosy months are my favourite.
It being October it only feels appropriate that I share of list of horror films. Unfortunately I’m not a fan in the slightest so I’ll have to forgo that idea and share something a little different with you instead. Here’s my top three list of my favourite indie and arthouse films that I feel are well worth a watch this Autumn.
What better way to celebrate October and the season of all things spooky than with a wish list? Today I thought I’d share with you a few unique Halloween-themed pieces that I might consider selling my soul for… (more…)
It started slowly at first; the gentle patter of raindrops hitting the canopy of leaves above our heads – not quite enough to deter us from our woodland walk. High above the tree-tops the sky loomed grey and threatening. (more…)
Before the Autumn season starts and the leaves begin to fall I like to write up a little bucket list of all the things I hope to see and do before Winter claws its way in. Autumn is my most favourite season and I like to make sure it’s packed with plenty of fun activities so that I’m not wasting it. My Dad always said it’s important to have things to look forward to so for today’s Blogtober I thought I’d share my seasonal bucket list with you.
The nights are drawing in, a distinct chill hangs in the air; Halloween is almost upon us and that can mean just one thing – it’s time for a spooky bath.
I’m the type of person that can’t keep a cactus alive; despite the fact that I absolutely adore the thought of growing my own fruit, veg and flowers I have never been all that green-fingered.
That makes the next statement even more unbelievable; this year I grew my own pumpkin from seed (and it’s pretty sizeable too!) For today’s Blogtober post I thought I would share a few tips and tricks to growing your own pumpkin – pieces of advice I learned along the way. It’s not as easy as it looks but it is very rewarding and if I can do it, anyone can!
Pools of sunlight ripple on the river, a warm Autumn sun breathing life in to the marshes. I scan between the reeds and pond weed for a flash of golden eye, expertly camouflaged, easily missed. I’ve trodden those same wooden boardwalks countless times; followed all the beaten pathways. No matter how many times I make the journey, I always scan the water hoping to catch a glimpse of a frog. On rainy Autumn days there’s nothing nicer than pulling a record from the crate and playing it on the turn table – snuggling up in a cosy blanket and singing your heart out.
Today I thought I would share a few records from my collection and explain why they stand out or mean something to me. Dust off your favourite vinyl and join me for a moment or two.
The rain is coming down in sheets, darkness rakes its fingers across the morning sky. Long gone are the days of heading out in a cotton dress and bare legs – October is finally here.
And with it, comes Blogtober.
As a self-confessed bath bomb addict and bubble-bath dweller, I’m always on the look out for new bath-time treats. Living in the UK I’m lucky enough to have access to my all-time favourite store – Lush. Lush has amazing products and for that reason all of my bath bombs, shower gels, scrubs and shampoos come almost exclusively from there and I feel quite content with that. But there’s one store I have always desperately wanted to buy and try products from, and it’s one we definitely don’t have here in the UK – Bath and Body Works.
Up until very recently I have only been able to browse the Bath and Body Works website longingly, adding products to a basket I can never check out with before exiting the site and buying a consolation bath bomb from Lush. That was until a fellow blogger on Instagram pointed me in the direction of a very special Facebook group…
September seemed to fly by in a haze of lazy Sunday mornings and woodland walks, endless cups of Pumpkin Spiced Lattes and warm bubble baths on chilly evenings.
October is here and with it comes Halloween, firework displays, toffee apples, dark mornings and of course, Blogtober.
